Andreea
Deputy President (Welfare)

Hi, I’m Andreea, your Deputy President of Welfare for the upcoming year!

About Me

I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. In 2019, I moved to London, where I pursued a MEng Programme in Biomedical Engineering. Throughout my time at Imperial, I have engaged with the Union and tried to improve student experience by joining CSP committees (FemSoc, Bioeng, IQ), through the Wellbeing Representation Network, as well as by being part of the LGBTQ+ Liberation and Community Network. I have also been an active member of DramSoc, Poetry Soc, Book Club and others.

My Goals

As DPW, my goal is to support and represent the voices of all Imperial students. In this, feedback gathered from you by Reps and LCOs is crucial. Particular areas I plan to focus on include improving mental health provision, lobbying the College for more financial support in combating the stress caused by the cost of living crisis, taking action to decrease the occurrence of sexual misconduct on campus, as well as streamlining procedures for those in need of guidance and support.

Get in touch

I will be keeping you up to date with my work through campaigns and posts on the Union's Instagram page. In addition, I aim to periodically write articles for Felix and on the ICU website about this year’s sabbatical officers’ projects and achievements. Do feel free to email me if you would like to have a chat – I’m always down for a meet up over coffee!
