Helpdesk Assistant
Salary: £13.85 per hour (including holiday pay)Contract: Casual Hour AgreementPosted on07 jul 2025Closing date30 jul 2025Interviews start18 aug 2025The Student Activities Team are looking to expand their team of Helpdesk Assistants. The Union Helpdesk is the first point of contact with the Union for many people and will play a key role in delivering a positive, high-quality experience. The Student Activities Team are therefore looking for several students to provide a welcoming, courteous, efficient, and proactive reception service for all users of the union. Duties and responsibilities will include but may not be limited to carrying out various administrative tasks, handling student queries face to face and via email, receiving and sorting post, and renewing selected memberships to students and staff members.
The role will be a casual contract with an expected average of around 4 hours per week during term time. The Helpdesk will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (subject to change). We are a flexible employer meaning that we will aim to work your shifts around your educational schedule within reason. The expected start date for this role will be the 15th of September 2025, with training taking place the week before. Please only apply for this role if you will be available for in person shifts from the 15th of September, as training can be online.
