    Working closely with the Representation Team, you’ll help plan meetings and events, manage communications, support student engagement activities, and ensure students and staff are kept informed about the outcomes of democratic discussions and campaigns.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Supporting the administration of Union Council and its associated forums
    • Preparing agendas, papers and minutes, and arranging meeting logistics and catering
    • Monitoring the Representation Team inbox and responding to enquiries
    • Supporting elections, representative training and student engagement activities
    • Helping deliver representation‑related events, conferences, social events and outreach stalls
    • Promoting democracy, campaigns and student success stories through communications and outreach
    • Working with student leaders and volunteers to help create positive change across Imperial

    Looking for a flexible role that fits around your studies while giving you valuable governance and administration experience? We’re recruiting a Governance Assistant at Imperial College Union.

    You’ll support the Governance Team with a range of administrative and organisational tasks that help keep the Union’s governance processes running smoothly. From preparing committee meetings and uploading documentation, to supporting communications and meeting logistics, you’ll play an important role behind the scenes of the Union.

    This is a great opportunity to develop your administration, communication and organisational skills while gaining insight into charity and students’ union governance.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Supporting the administration of the Board of Trustees and its subcommittees
    • Uploading agendas, papers and governance documents to the Union website
    • Assisting with meeting planning, logistics and minute-taking
      Supporting internal and external communications related to governance activities
    • Helping maintain governance-related webpages and information
      Assisting with the administration and triage of complaints inbox enquiries
      Supporting room bookings, catering and event logistics for meetings and workshops
    • Helping set up meeting spaces and providing basic technical support when required

    This is a casual role with an expected average of around 8 hours per week. Most shifts will be based in person at Imperial’s South Kensington campus. Applicants must be current Imperial students.

  • Student Content Creator or Photographer

    Imperial College Union are looking for student content creators and photographers to work with the marketing team to create content for social media. This will primarily be for events and other student life experiences at Imperial.

    This is a paid opportunity and work will be on an ad-hoc basis. You'll also receive support and resources from the ICU marketing team.

    This role is suitable for current Imperial students with an interest in social media and marketing, looking to expand their skillset. Applicants should be proficient in using basic video editing software and social media platforms. They will need to keep up-to-date with trends and have a clear understanding of all social media channels, most notably Instagram and TikTok. The applicant needs to be confident speaking to students of all ages and backgrounds and must be comfortable attending large events.

    Content Creator key responsibilities:
    - Capturing photography and videography on phone for social content
    - Talking to students for piece-to-camera content
    - Creating content in line with current trends
    - Editing content to create videos for social media
    - Reporting to the Content and Communications Coordinator for briefing and content review

    Student Photographer key responsibilities:
    - Capturing photography for a range of digital content with your own equipment/camera
    - Using ICU brand guidelines when shooting
    - Reporting to the Content and Communications Coordinator for briefing and content review
