Running a Club, Society or Project is a really valuable experience and gives you the opportunity to gain many skills that employers recognise. If you are on a committee of a club, society or project you can sign up to Imperial Plus and gain a volunteer certificate or volunteer accreditation which helps you develop these skills and formally recognises the work you do. For more information and to register, visit the Imperial Plus pages.
The Union Reception is here to help you. We’re open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, providing all of the services that you might need to successfully operate a club or society at Imperial College Union.
6 College networked PCs are available. A photocopier is also available for Clubs & Societies to print from their club account. A free phone line and fax facilities are also provided. Club & Society post is delivered to pigeon holes at the rear of the Union Offices.

Student Activities Team
We have a team of staff and sabbatical officers to support all of the activities by providing training manuals, day to day support and adminstratoin of activities. The aspects of running a club are vast and what each volunteer does will depend on your club, society or project and role within it. For assistance in running your club, take a look at the training pages in this section and if you can’t find an answer to your question get in touch with one of the team:
- James Cox - Deputy President (Clubs & Societies)
- Rachel Blythe – Deputy President (Finance & Services)
