Women in Surgery

Coming this March is SurgSoc's annual event aimed at medical students interested in surgical careers: Women in Surgery 2014 It promises to address a number of key issues you maybe interested to learn from a line-up of eminent speakers, including the first female Professor of Surgery, Professor Mansfield; Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Miss Samantha Tross; Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Vascular Surgery, Miss Celia Riga; and more. The talks will focus on career in surgery, work life balance, CV and portfolio. Certificates will be provided. SurgSoc members can register for the event for free by emailing surgical.soc@ic.ac.uk with the subject title WinS 2014. Non-members can purchase the tickets for £3 from tinyurl.com/wins2014 There are also a limited number of dinner tickets that are available on a first come first served basis from the union shop.
