To help us celebrate Black History Month, working with our BME Officer we've organised a special film screening on Thursday October 21st! This will be happening in the City & Guilds building, in Room 200 📽️

We'll be showing Mangrove from the Small Axe series. The screening will be free and will offer a great opportunity to come together and discuss Black culture in London, and just enjoy a brilliant piece of cinema. Doors will open at 5:50, so get down there in good time to grab a good seat and pick up some snacks that will be provided! 🍿

About the film: Part of the anthology series Small Axe, Mangrove is set in 1960/70s Notting Hill, and follows the true story of Frank Crichlow, an immigrant from Trinidad. After the opening of Frank's business, the Mangrove restaurant, the film focuses on the events that follow, and on the trial of the Mangrove Nine.
