University Mental Health Day 2023

Monday 27 February 2023 11:00

From academic pressure to money worries and loneliness - it’s easy to feel overwhelmed at university. Identity crises, discrimination, and global concerns can make student life even tougher to navigate for the 2.3 million students currently studying in UK universities.

Thursday 9 March is University Mental Health Day. Introduced by Student Minds, University Mental Health Day is the biggest day of the year for student mental health, bringing together the university community to make mental health a university-wide priority, to create ongoing change to the future of student mental health. The day happens every year on the first Thursday in March

We have arranged several events throughout the day in partnership with Move Imperial for you to take time out of your day to unwind, de-stress, and take care of your mental health. Join us to cycle up a free smoothie, speak to an advice caseworker, chill out at yoga or lace your trainers for run club!  All activities are free for you to attend.

Tea & Talk

Join the Student Counselling and Mental Health Advice Team for a chat, tea, and biscuits with the team! They are hosting a 'Tea & Talk' from 11am to talk with you about the support available to help you manage your Mental Health at Imperial College and how you can refer yourself into their service for further support. They will have a range of professionals who would be happy to discuss this with you individually or in a group with your friends. They look forward to seeing you there!
