Paediatric Oncology Event

Highly respected researchers and consultants from Great Ormond Street Hospital will be talking about the current and future state of paediatric cancer. We will be hosting: 1) Professor Kathy Pritchard-Jones: one of the UK's foremost experts in childhood cancer, and programme director for cancer at University College London (UCL), UK lead within the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) and Vice Chairman of SIOP Europe. She has been a consultant in the field for 20 years and heads a laboratory for research into the molecular biology of renal tumours 2) Dr Penelope Brock : Consultant Paediatric Oncologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at GOSH and University College London Hospital. She is currently President of the European neuroblastoma group SIOPEN and a medical trustee for a number of charities and on the editorial board of Coping with Cancer in the 21st Century. She is UK Chief Investigator for a number of international clinical trials, including the European High-Risk Neuroblastoma Trial. This event will be followed by a drinks reception from 20:00.
