Join us for an insightful talk by Dr Kate Godfrey on the "Emerging Evidence of Psilocybin Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa"!

Psilocybin is the naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in magic mushrooms. Traditionally used in indigenous ceremonies for spiritual exploration, it has now gained attention in psychiatry for its potential in treating mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and PTSD. At Imperial, there have been studies done exploring its potential in treating anorexia nervosa.

Dr Kate Godfrey is a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial's Centre for Psychedelic Research. She has numerous publications in the field of psychedelic research, and has been recently involved in exploring the potential of using psilocybin for the treatment of anorexia nervosa.

Come with your curiosity and questions as we explore the exciting potential applications of psychedelics in psychiatry!

The event will involve a ~45 minute talk and ~30 minute Q&A. It will take place in-person in Blackett 539 (BLKT 539), which is located on Level 5 of the Blackett Building of the South Kensington campus. There will be no online streaming or recording available.
