Union Concert Hall, Beit Quad

Prepare yourself to have your DramSocks knocked off, because DramWeek is here!

From the 13th to the 18th of June 2022 we have a whole lot of workshops prepared culminating in a show created by YOU! These workshops in Acting, Sound, Set Design, Lighting, and Stage Management & Production will really explore all aspects of theatre at Imperial. After four days of workshops, we'll be staging a short play written by the committee on Saturday the 18th of June, where you can get a chance to apply what you have learnt during the week. In fact, each workshop will involve some preparation for the play. How exciting!

No prior experience required!

We’ll be starting the week strong with a lighting workshop! Come join us for this 3+ hour workshop (depending on how much enthusiasm we have after working through everything) focused on stage lighting design. We’ll be covering everything a lighting designer and/or operator needs to know to get involved in a DramSoc show: basic rig design with an overview of Capture (the software we use), safe rigging of fixtures, DMX and power cabling, intelligent vs generic fixtures including what we have and what we can rent, and using EOS for patching, control, and programming. We'll have a food break in the middle with a chill mingle at the bar at the end of the workshop.

You can sign up to attend the workshop by using the button below to give us an idea of numbers. We recommend being there from the beginning as each workshop has a planned flow. Dinner/lunch (depending on workshop timings) will be provided! See you there!
