Shorinji Kempo is a Japanese martial arts combining effective self-defense techniques and philosophy based on Buddhism. We aim to help students achieve physical and mental balance while learning the arts of self-defense. Our training session covers both hard techniques (e.g. punches, kicks, blocks) and soft techniques (e.g. takedowns, locks, grabs). We also learn about pressure points on the human body, meditate, and discuss Kempo philosophy at the end of the session. Join us to practice self-defense as well as inner peace in a warm, welcoming community!
