Veganuary is a charity inspiring people to try vegan for January and throughout the rest of the year. As a UK Registered, Veganuary is dedicated to changing public attitudes, while providing all the information and practical support required to make the transition to veganism as easy and enjoyable as possible. Veganuary has had an incredible degree of success in a very short time and is changing lives all over the world. In a blog post on 2017, Matthew estimated that “for every £ spent, 108 animals are spared from ever having to go through the suffering of animal agriculture” (see link below). There are some limitations to this calculation, but there is nevertheless a case that Veganuary is one of the most effective charities for reducing animal suffering in the world. Matthew will make this case at the talk! This talk is ideal for *everyone* who agrees that non-human animal suffering matters, whatever their beliefs or diet. It will be followed by a question and answer session. We will also have tables by Animal Charity Evaluators, The Humane League - UK, Animal Equality, Open Cages and Effective Altruism London where you can find out about other ways to get involved for reducing animal suffering effectively, before and after the talk. We will also be giving free food and you'll get to network and maybe even come across some job opportunities!
