Thinking of running for a Management Group Committee position? Being part of a Management Group can be a really valuable experience. The knowledge you gain can help your club, and your personal development, as whatever role you end up in, you’ll be coordinating the efforts of volunteers from the rest of the group. The Management Group committee represent the voice of the CSP's of that group, so you can really make a difference to the volunteers here at Imperial.
The Chair:
- Represents the Management Group’s clubs at formal and ad hoc Union Meetings.
- Chairs monthly Management Group Meetings.
- Is responsible to the Union President for the Management Group’s finances, Health & Safety, and Compliance with Union, College, and Government Policy.
- Promotes and advertises the committee around the College.
- Chairs any sub committees of the Executive that may exist.
- Takes on any other duties as decided by the Committee.
The Treasurer:
- Is responsible to the Union President for the Management Group’s finances.
- Carries out day-to-day financial oversight of the committee.
- Chairs Treasurer’s meetings when necessary.
- Is responsible for the production of an annual budget for the management group, in consultation with the management group chair, club chairs and the Clubs, Societies and Projects Board.
- Assists club committee members in preparing funding and sponsorship applications.
The Secretary:
- Is responsible to the Chair for the efficient administration of the committee.
- Takes minutes at committee meetings.
- Is responsible for organising committee meetings, including finding and securing a venue.
- Promotes and advertises the committee to College.
- Fields general questions on the makeup and running of the committee.
