What is Welcome Fair?
This is your chance to meet Imperial's 380+ clubs and societies all in one place, learn about your student union (that's us!), and get involved in all things student life.
With 2 days of hundreds of stalls, plus activations, performances and chances for you to try something new, this is the event not to miss this Welcome Week.

Student Group Showcase
See your clubs and societies in action at the Student Group Showcase!Check out the talent, skills, and activities Imperial’s student groups have to offer. Catch musical groups taking the stage and sports teams showcasing their range, there’s something for everyone to have a try at!

Give it a Go
Discover which clubs and societies are for you with our Give it a Go programme!
Starting university or returning to Imperial after the break is a great time to kickstart a new hobby or find your community, and Give It a Go sessions are there to help you shape your experience with no strings attached!
You can to try out clubs and societies before committing to membership; letting you decide what suits you and your schedule best.
Many student groups run free taster sessions to their activities, so make sure to register your interest for any clubs you’re thinking about joining! You can also check out our Give It a Go calendar or chat to clubs directly at Welcome Fair to find out when their taster sessions are happening.

Sustainability
We want to create an incredible event for our community while being kinder to the planet. Here are some of the measures we're continuing and introducing:
Reducing Single-Use Plastics
We are encouraging stallholders to avoid bringing single-use plastics to the Fair. Think reusable, recyclable, and long-lasting- small changes make a big difference.
Going Digital
From sign-ups to communications, we're prioritising digital-first approaches. It cuts down on paper waste and makes things quicker and easier for everyone.
Ethical Engagement
We're introducing new guidance to ensure that companies at Welcome Fair reflect the values of our student community. We're steering clear of stalls linked to unethical practises.
Freebies with Purpose
Everyone loves a good freebie, but we're encouraging stallholders to think sustainably. Useful and ethical giveaways are the way forward.
