What is Give it a Go
Give it a Go (GIAG) is an ongoing programme of events for Imperial students to try a new activity, without needing to buy a club or society membership to get involved.
Give it a Go events are generally free or low cost activities, which any and all students are encouraged to get involved in. Clubs and societies run their own sessions under this programme, and we recommend keeping on eye on their social media channels and chatting to any you are interested in at Welcome Fair to find out when their GIAG sessions are.
Whether you want a little more time to decide a club or society to officially join, or just want to try out a brand new activity, Give it a Go is for you!
Look out for the GIAG logo, or events titled Give it a Go or ‘taster sessions’, to get involved across late September and October, as well as other sessions across the whole academic year.

We’ll also be at Welcome Fair! Don’t miss the Student Showcase this Welcome Fair on 29 and 30 September to see performances and demonstrations from your clubs and societies in action.
On 30 September, Give it a Go will be taking over the Showcase area with 2 of your clubs hosting interactive Give it a Go sessions, plus other clubs showcasing their machinery live at Welcome Fair. Come along on the day to try something new and explore!
Here’s what’s on:
Give it a Go area
1:15-2pm, and 2:15-3pm: Art Club
3:15-4pm: First Aid
Equipment area
1-4:30pm: Vintage Vehicles, Aeronautics, Astronomy and Gliding displays of their respective vehicles and machinery.
