Nominations close TOMORROW at 12pm – here's why you should consider standing.

If you've ever wondered what it takes to shape the future of Imperial College Union, here's your chance to find out. We're looking for two elected student trustees to join our Board of Trustees, and nominations are closing tomorrow (Friday 27 February) at 12pm.

How many student trustees does Imperial College Union have?

Two student trustees are directly elected in the Leadership Elections each year, and two are appointed by the Board of Trustees. These are in addition to the four Officer Trustee positions and the Union Council Chair, who also sit on the Board.

Yesterday, the Board of Trustees held its third meeting of the academic year and reappointed current appointed student trustees Lilia Evans and Sai Venkateshwaran for further one-year term, subject to Union Council ratification.

Think you could join them? Why not consider standing as a candidate for student trustee in the Leadership Elections!

Why Become a Student Trustee?

As a student trustee, you'll have a genuine say in the strategic direction of your Union. You'll sit on our Board of Trustees, helping to make decisions that directly impact student life at Imperial.

It's also a brilliant opportunity to develop leadership skills, build your CV, and connect with fellow student leaders across the Union.

How to Get Involved

If you have a passion for the union, a commitment for team-working, and a genuine interest in making a difference, then this role is for you!

The deadline to nominate yourself is tomorrow, Friday 27 February at 12pm. Head over to the Leadership Elections 2026 page to submit your nomination and find out more about the role.

Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Nominations close on Friday at noon.
