Women in SET is one of Imperial’s largest student-led STEMB societies, dedicated
to supporting and empowering women in entering male
dominated fields and creating a community.
With a 20-year legacy, we connect students with role models,
employers and pathways into STEMB careers, through high-calibre events.

We partner with global companies to bring you CV workshops, interview and internship advice, company insights etc. and help you grow your network.

Our annual events include:

1) Annual Industry Networking Event: all our sponsors are invited and offer a large networking platform

2) FemHack: A women-only, more hardware-based hackathon in collaboration with other
women-centred societies. After the great
success of the inaugural event last year, we
will be continuing the hackathon as a
flagship event

2) International Women's Day Formal Dinner: our members get the chance to have a fancy 3-course meal sitting right next to senior female representatives coming from our sponsor firms! We held it at the Dorchester Hotel with 100 people in 23/24 and art'otel Battersea in 25/26!

We partner with other universities, where we are hosting the first cross-university women-only hackathon in London with UCL and Kings - the IKU Womxn in STEM Hackathon! We also plan talks with renowned academics from Imperial and other unis to talk about their work and challenges faced throughout their career.

We also raise awareness about STEM opportunities among girls at high schools. We have worked with charities and conduced STEM workshops at different schools to encourage students to pursue a career in STEM - this is a great opportunity to volunteer with us!

Lastly, we plan A LOT of social events: quiz nights, ice skating, movie nights, boat parties, bowling, dinners, picnics and more!

Some of our sponsors include: Jane Street, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, G-Research, RWE, Pegasystems and more!

So, join us (for free!) to be a part of Imperial’s largest community of women and help shape your career!
