String Ensemble

Category: Arts & Entertainment

Imperial College String Ensemble (ICSE, pronounced 'ick-see') is Imperial's only society dedicated to playing the incredible repertoire written just for strings. Rehearsals are fun and friendly, and take place on Friday evenings. We perform concerts every term in the local area, as well as taking part in many other exciting events throughout the year, such as charity concerts, festivals and even busking during the festive season. A variety of parties and events are held after rehearsals, making Friday nights worth looking forward to - from pubs to barn dancing! Plans for 2016/2017 include a weekend away and a summer tour! As the College's only ensemble just for string players we offer a very different experience to the symphony orchestras. Rehearsals are relaxed, with light refreshments, but the music is always challenging and every member has the chance to make a difference. If you're interested in making yourself heard as a string player, why don't you join us?
