Pole & Aerial

Category: Arts & Entertainment

Imperial's Pole & Aerial society, officially the leading pole society in the South East of England, offers affordable classes in pole fitness, aerial hoop and silk, new aerial arts.

Pole is falsely perceived as a purely sensual dance. These new forms of exercise combines the calisthenical strength and stamina of gymnastics with the grace and flexibility of dance. It is even practised by the likes of Kate Middleton!

Pole Fitness, choreography and flexibility classes are taught weekly on campus at student prices, within a vibrant and friendly community. Aerial Hoop, Silks, Slings, Acro Yoga, Aerial Yoga and Trapeze are also available at our sister location in Aerialand.

Imperial Pole and Aerial Society wins titles every year at London Pole Varsity and, following our win at the regional heats of in the Inter-University Pole Dance Competition, we will be hosting SEUPC in 2017.

What's the appeal of pole? As well as being perfect for complete beginners, it's also addictive. You will master new moves every class, whilst also getting fit fast.

Pole's not just for the unfit, it's fantastic for those from a dance or sports background looking to try something new. It may be easy to pick up, but like any dance, it takes years to truly perfect and there's always something new to work on.

Come join us for a taster session and see the magic of pole and aerial for yourself!
