Imperial College Dramatic Society (DramSoc) has something for everyone from acting, directing and play production to make-up, costume, set building, lighting and sound. As well as drama we incorporate a thriving technical production team running loads of events in and around College for various societies, Imperial Conferences and external clients as well as our own plays and musical theatre with MTSoc, our sister society.
We run 2-3 plays each term. Recent productions include The Tempest, Jerusalem and Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche. We've also teamed up with ICRadio for radio plays and ICTV for TV. We run weekly workshops in both Acting (such as Stage Combat, Puppetry and Improvisation) and Technical (including Pyrotechnics, Lighting and Sound)
Interested in directing or writing a play? Come to our termly play proposals meeting with your ideas, or drop the president an email on email@example.com.
DramSoc owns a huge range of professional lighting and sound equipment, including a Yamaha LS9-32, Behringer X32, Jands Vista T2 and Avolites Tiger Touch II. Our technical team uses this to support all the events that DramSoc is involved in. All training is provided and there are constant opportunities to hone your skills, so why not try something new!
