Welcome to Computational Biology
Computational Biology is a student-led society for those interested in the intersection between biology and computer science. It is one of the first of its kind in the UK for an industry that is set to grow to billions of dollars.
This society is for life and computer scientists alike to gain knowledge, that might be currently missing in their undergraduate studies, that they'll need to start a career in CompBio.
We host regular seminars with top industry and academic figures to open your eyes to how CompBio is revolutionizing the life sciences. On top of that, we host coding classes tailored to the intricacies of working with biological data as well as workshops to use other tools in computational biology.
Finally, every year we host our hallmark conference in the summer with several speakers from academia and industry. For the first time, we will potentially be hosting a hackathon this year. Both of these will be a great opportunity for networking. Can't miss them!
