Welcome to Chamber Choir

The Chamber Choir is the College's flagship choir. We are an auditioned ensemble of about 25 singers, conducted by Patrick Allies. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings following which we are keen frequenters of the Postgraduate Bar! We are one of London’s finest university choirs that performs frequently in the capital, across the UK and internationally. Notable venues include Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Sherborne Abbey, Milan Duomo, Santa Croce and Catedral de Santiago de Compostela and Helsinki Cathedral

We present up to two concerts per term, and sing fortnightly Wednesday evensongs at Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort Road. We regularly undertake various external projects such as recently recording a BBC radio 3 evensong, joint concerts with other established choirs, various cathedral evensongs such as southwark and much more!

Taking our music outside of college is very important to us, and we go on a 5 day Easter tour, a week-long summer tour, and several weekends away throughout the year. Our summer tours are a highlight of the year, both musically and socially. Recent tours have included: Porto, Portugal (2017), Ljubljana, Slovenia (2018), Krakow, Poland (2019), Tuscany, Italy (2022) and Galicia, Spain (2023), Estonia and Finland (2024) singing high-calibre choral music in and around their most famous venues.
