Imperial College Catholic Society (CathSoc) is an active organisation led by Catholic students at Imperial. Everyone is welcome here, whether you're a practising Catholic or simply curious to learn about the Church.
CathSoc is a community of people devoted to living a Christ-centred life and helping each other to grow in faith and virtue. The sacramental life of the society is very important; we meet twice a week for Holy Mass and a priest is available for confessions on campus. We live out our faith by participating in weekly volunteering activities, including soup runs to help those experiencing homelessness.
The Catholic Church has an impressive intellectual and scientific tradition of which you can be a part. Philosophers and theologians will love our regular talks on topics as challenging as: 'Does science rule out Christian faith?', 'Mathematics, metaphysics and mysticism' and many more. If you want answers to these questions, CathSoc is the society for you.
Here you will make holy and lifelong friends. We meet every week for lunch after Mass and celebrate Church holidays in style at our CathSoc socials. Pilgrimages are the highlights of our social calendar: every year we walk the Holy Mile to Walsingham. Through InterCathsoc events, we also get to meet other Catholic students from London universities. We also have close ties to Newman House, Chaplaincy for all universities.
At CathSoc you will discover the joy of living a Catholic life while at university. We can't wait to meet you!
