As a Biochemistry/Biotechnology student at Imperial, you are automatically a member of the Biochemistry society. Our aim is to integrate students from all year groups (and staff!) in order to form a strong departmental network. Our members also include students and staff from other courses and, as a bonus, we are part of the very few societies at Imperial with a 1:1 ratio of male:female students.
So, what do we do? We are here to support you throughout the year and encourage you to thrive within university life – and beyond! Accordingly, we host academic events including talks and workshops that allow you to engage and network with potential employers to broaden and strengthen your career prospects.
But hey, it’s not all about the academic side of life. We are renowned for our social events ranging from pub crawls and annual dinners, to quiz nights and ice skating at the National History Museum, with the goal of getting students to enjoy their time at university and quickly settle into our Biochemistry community.
