The Imperial Bangladeshi society welcomes students of all backgrounds to immerse themselves in Bangladeshi culture.

Starting university can be a daunting experience. We’re here to alleviate that pressure by helping you connect with new people and get involved with some great events and initiatives. We’ve got tonnes of events lined up, including lighthearted games nights and cultural events to get in touch with Bangladeshi heritage.

Look out for Maa month in February where we dedicate a month’s worth of events to raising money for the Maternal Aid Association. This money will help mothers in rural and developing areas of Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Our fan favourite wing crawl is sure to get your attention and it gets better and better each year.

This year we will also be implementing Bangla language lessons. This could be a fun way to reconnect with your mother tongue, or a chance to learn a new language entirely. Come give it a shot to see if you could be the next big Bangla poet.
