Overview

The Union Awards spotlights the amazing people who make Imperial a better place – from student volunteers to staff who go the extra mile! 🏆✨

This year, the Union Awards will take place on Friday, 29 May. The annual Move Imperial Sports Awards will also take place on this night, after the Union Awards, so students can attend both celebrations.

What’s it all about?

The Union Awards:

  • Recognise student volunteers making an invaluable difference to student groups and communities at Imperial.
  • Thank and acknowledge the incredible teaching, student support, and overall impacts to the student experience by staff.
  • Celebrate the hard work of student volunteers who build strong, supportive communities for students.

The Nomination Process

Nominations will open in the middle of April. Check back here for the link and more information closer to the date.

The Nomination Process

  • All nominations should be submitted using the online form.
  • Only registered students and staff at Imperial will be eligible for nomination.
  • Registered students at Imperial can nominate their peers, or staff members.
  • University staff at Imperial can nominate any current registered Imperial student.
  • Nominations must be a minimum of 50 words and a maximum of 250 words.
  • Nominations should clearly refer to relevant award criteria.
  • Examples are encouraged, to help the panel in their decision making.

The Awards Ceremony

The Union Awards ceremony is a fun and inclusive event bringing together students and staff under one roof to celebrate their achievements and recognise their efforts across the year.

This year, the Union Awards are taking place on the same night as Move Imperial’s Sports Awards. We have organised the Union Awards to begin earlier so all students can attend both events. Come dressed to impress so you can head straight to Sports Awards after the Union Awards!

We invite all members of the Imperial community to attend to support and congratulate their peers, staff members and community for all their hard work!
