Hi I'm Cristina!
Studied: BSc BiochemistryHi everyone! I’m Cris, and I’m thrilled to be your Editor-in-Chief for the 2026/27 academic year.
I have been lucky enough to interact with Imperial in many ways, from co-founding the UK’s first student Microbiome Society to finding my best friends in ICSM Water Polo and being a Felix writer and Science Section Editor.
My academic interests lie in computational biochemistry, and when I’m not trapped in the library running simulations, I’ll be in the gym, watching F1, or exploring London’s art galleries and thrifting spots.
This year, I’m looking forward to continuing my journey at Felix and leading the paper in its mission to authentically capture university life and student issues. My main goals for the year include introducing cross-section collaborations and features, increasing our reach, and sharpening the quality of our journalism (more below!).
If you'd like to collaborate with us or have a story to tell, email me at felix@ic.ac.uk!

Why Imperial?
I chose to study at Imperial because I believe in the value of learning at an institution where the passion for research and learning is paramount.
As I learnt more about the incredible variety of clubs and societies here, I knew I would be able to take part in multiple projects and experiences alongside my degree, which have ended up forming an integral part of who I am and what I’ve learnt throughout my Imperial experience!
