Research
Gender Equity at Imperial
Over the last year, ICU led a research project into the experiences of women at Imperial. Over 200 of you took part in this research, and we have now written the results into a report which you can read below! We are in discussions with the university on how we can use these results to inform improvements towards gender equity and help make Imperial welcoming and inclusive to students of all genders.
Everyday sexism at Imperial
As part of this research, we want to find out the kinds of things you experience during your time at Imperial. Our aim is to record your various instances and experiences to understand the current culture of sexism and enact change. Sexism does exist and is faced by us every day.
All answers will remain anonymous and won't be shared until approved by our staff team. Nothing is too small or too trivial, as we often minimise instances of sexism in our day-to-day lives.
Inspired by The Everyday Sexism Project.
See the drop downs below for other recent projects we have been working on.

How can I get involved?

On your student dashboard in SUMS, you can select to be subscribed to the ‘research newsletter’. This will keep you updated on the work we are doing and allow you to be the first to know when we have focus groups, surveys and other opportunities for you to share your views.
