Recent work
Gender Equity at Imperial
We know STEM still has a long way to go to be inclusive and supportive of all women and this can impact life as a student at Imperial. This year, and into 2026, ICU is doing a research project into the experiences of women at Imperial. We want to better understand their experience, the challenges they may face and how every student at Imperial may have their experience impacted by gender.
This research is open to women and all students who feel impacted by gender issues at Imperial. The opinions and stories you share will be used to work alongside the University to increase support for women at Imperial and in STEM and assess how we can work together to make your experience better.
Everyday sexism at Imperial
As part of this research, we want to find out the kinds of things you experience during your time at Imperial. Our aim is to record your various instances and experiences to understand the current culture of sexism and enact change. Sexism does exist and is faced by us every day.
All answers will remain anonymous and won't be shared until approved by our staff team. Nothing is too small or too trivial, as we often minimise instances of sexism in our day-to-day lives.
Inspired by The Everyday Sexism Project.
See the drop downs below for other recent projects we have been working on.
