Gabor Hall

One of the new halls of residence in Prince's Gardens by the South Kensington campus, Gabor is named after Dennis Gabor - an electrical engineer who fled to the UK from Nazi Germany in 1933, joined Imperial College in 1948, and won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1971 for inventing holography.
