Seven clubs at Imperial you never knew we had!

Here at Imperial College Union we have some wonderful and unique clubs alike. It was Freshers' Fair yesterday and you probably got to meet hundreds of new Clubs, Societies & Projects however it's almost impossible to have seen them all, so we wanted to highlight a a few intriguing ones you may have not known we had. Of course we have our full list of Clubs, Societies & Projects on our A-Z and with over 5,000 memberships sold already this year, joining is a great way of making new friends and learning new skills!

 

 

Assassins Guild

Today is the day you play the role of an assassin in an epic game across the entire term and have your target who you must mock kill. Your weapons can range from classic nerf guns to dropping “pianos” on people!



Gliding Club

Ever wanted to learn how to fly a plane and perform thrilling aerobic manoeuvres? Now you can! Gliding club at Imperial College Union is a great way for beginners to get into flying and for experienced people to hone
their skills.



Lego Society

Everybody loves lego, this is a chance to reignite your passion for building fantastic scale models and even go on a trip to LEGOLAND!



Soup Run

This is a fantastic way to get involved in the community in a friendly and relaxed way. Every Sunday evening Soup Run load up a minibus and distribute food and hot drinks to the homeless in London. This is a very worthwhile cause to get involved in!



SCUBA Diving (Underwater Club) 

Ever wanted to explore the underwater world? With SCUBA club you can. This club goes diving in the deeps exploring ship wrecks, to even playing octopush (which is essentially hockey underwater).



Artisans Workshop

Have you ever wanted to create something out of silver? Artisans club teaches traditional skills such as silversmithing, woodworking and even blacksmithing, you can make your own souvenirs and jewelery, as well as learning the starting skills to work in a forge! 



Big Band

IC Big Band regularly performs top quality jazz in and around the capital. The band consists of current university students at Imperial College London, and has gained an excellent reputation that grows year on year.

 

Last year over 50% of students got involved with a Club, Society or Project!
