Alternative careers for STEM students Lecture

Alternative careers for STEM students

Thursday 21st May: 13:00 - 14:00

G34 lecture theatre in the Sir Alexander Fleming (SAF) building

It’s almost the end of the academic year – have you thought about what you are doing in the future?

Are you a science, technology, engineering, medicine or business student?

Have you thought about a career in business, law or science?

Want to learn more?

The Imperial College Law Society presents a fantastic careers event which will answer all those questions you’ve been thinking about.

In an interactive panel discussion three leading legal professionals will talk about:

  •        The routes they took to get into the profession
  •        What it is like to be a lawyer/patent attorney
  •        And anything else you would like

We will be joined by:

GlaxoSmithKline: Dawn Goff, Senior Counsel (Patents)

Roche: Funke Abimbola, Managing Counsel

Taylor Wessing: Saufung Ma, Senior Associate

But I’m a STEM student – how is this relevant to me?

The discussion will be an opportunity to explore the intersections between the legal industry and other industries such as finance and biotechnology.

Students interested in a career in business, law or science will have the opportunity to gain extremely useful information, including how to develop their commercial awareness.

You do not need to be interested in a career in law to be interested in this event!

RSVP: Please e-mail your name and your course to lawsoc@imperial.ac.uk.

Anyone is welcome to attend, so please tell your friends and even professors they are welcome to join!
