Running a CSP Trip
The Union supports CSPs in organising trips, and a bit of planning ensures the best experience for your members. Legally, all trip details must be recorded and risk assessed beforehand.
Reminder: The Trip Policy now defines any activity taking CSP members outside London as a trip, whether it’s abroad, within the UK, overnight, or not. The only exception is BUCS/Sporting competition fixtures outside London, which are covered in your Core Risk Assessment.
For all trips you need to complete the following:
- Term One Activity Proposal
- A Risk Assessment
- An Event & Trip Budget on eActivities (£500+)
- A participant list (to be emailed to Activities 1 week before)
Review: The Union will check your Trip Proposal and Risk Assessment and let you know if adjustments are needed.
Approval: Do not spend money or make arrangements until you get final feedback from the Union.
After Approval: Once approved, arrange accommodation, insurance, travel, and share risk procedures with your participants.
