MyBigCareer’s mission is to help break down barriers to social mobility by ensuring young people from disadvantaged backgrounds get as much of a chance as those from more affluent backgrounds. We aim to do this by levelling the playing field for access to the professions, raising aspirations, inspiring and motivating.

All of our services are provided free of charge to schools with significantly above average levels of students in receipt of free school meals (FSM) and the Pupil Premium grant, as well as looked after students and young carers. We are staffed by volunteers, many of whom are Heads of Careers in independent schools, who donate their time and expertise to help disadvantaged young people fulfil their potential.
