What is the time commitment?
ACT Now! is designed to be flexible and fit around your study commitments.
We recommend that individuals dedicate a minimum of 2 hours a week to their project, excluding training workshops etc. For example, a team of 3 would have collectively dedicated 6 hours a week to their project. Of course, this is only a guideline, and you can put in as much or as little time as you feel comfortable with.
Do I need to a team to sign-up with?
No, you can register as an individual or a team! We'll be hosting loads of networking events for everyone to meet and form teams. Of course, if you'd like to go through the programme solo, that's great too! Our team will be there to support you all the way.
Do I need an enterprise idea before I take part?
Absolutely not! We're here to guide you right from the ideation stage through to the final showcase, with plenty of opportunities to network and work with your peers to develop you ideas. Already have an idea you'd like to explore? That's brilliant! Come along to our Hack-it, Crack-its and Bootcamps to explore your idea and maybe find a team to help make it a reality!
I am already part of an existing student led social enterprise, is ACT Now! right for me?
ACT Now! is designed to help students explore their entrepreneurial potentional, gain new skills and potentially start on the road to setting up a social enterprise. If you're already part of an existing social enterprise, you may be a little further ahead than most in the programme. We can support you in other ways. Please get touch to discuss how we can support you, and check out our funding awards.
