The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui chronicles the rise of a 1930s gangster as he violently takes control of Chicago's vegetable industry. A satirical allegory to Hitler's rise to power, the play features many comedic and fourth wall-breaking elements, with plenty of Brecht's signature Epic Theatre.
