About Us

We're here to make sure you get the best experience possible. When you enrol with Imperial College London you automatically become a member of the Union - this gives you access to all of our services, events and activities.

Who better to influence change at Imperial College than you, our members? We are independent from the College, meaning out policies and decisions are determined by students. You elect the student leaders and representatives who take our collective concerns to College, or who lead the effort to tackle challenges ourselves.

Introducing your Officer Team 23/24! There are hundreds of positions across different areas of student life, but let's start with the five above - your Officer Team for 2023/24! They were elected in March and work full time at the Union with very specific areas of responsibility!

Get to know your Officer Team:

Camille - Union President

Stephanie - Deputy President (Finance & Services)

Christian - Deputy President (Clubs & Societies)

Yi - Deputy President (Education)

Andreea - Deputy President (Welfare)

Your Officer Trustees are here to improve the student voice for all students at Imperial. They represent you to College on issues such as your course, department and faculty as well as any other problems you may have during your time at Imperial.

They are here to make your time at Imperial even better and to ensure you have the best possible experience both during your studies and personal life.

Activities

We have 360+ Clubs, Societies & Projects (CSPs)! They are a great way to meet new people, learn a skill or just have some fun outside of your studies!

CSP activity montage

We have a wide range of CSPs, so whether you want to join a rugby team, fancy belting out a showtune, or would like to learn a new language - there is something for everyone! Find what you're looking for In the A-Z section. We're sure you're going to find a group that shares your interests! (and if not, why not create your own!)

Join a CSP

Meet all the Clubs, Societies & Projects at our Welcome Fair on Tuesday 3 October across the South Kensington campus from 11am to 5pm.

This is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow students, ask any questions and meet/join some of our amazing clubs and societies. We can't wait to see you there!

Then on Wednesday 4 October we also have some amazing brands on campus giving away freebies and offering some special discounts just for you! Expect to see the likes of Domino's, Amazon Prime, and loads more!

Help & Support

Studying in the high performing environment of Imperial comes with challenges and we'll be here to support you throughout.

We've got an Advice Service that provides professional support through academic & non-academic issues, as well as a Wellbeing Network with elected reps to raise and tackle any issues.

Communities

We have nine Liberation & Community Officers who represent students from particular groups.

They help build communities and provide a safe space for students that identify with the specific groups they represent. They are a support network for their members - particularly for personal problems related to their identity. Your Liberation Officers also organise campaigns to tackle particular problems faced by their members.

Connect with your officers or join a group.

Make a Change

You will have the opportunity to use your voice as soon as you arrive on campus. Autumn Elections take place in early October and you will be able to participate by standing for a position and casting your vote.

You have the power to shape your learning, defend the interests of under-represented student communities, and ensure your voice is heard at the highest levels of decision making.

Remember, your voice matters just as much on your first day as on the day you graduate.

Autumn Election 2023

We'll be adding more information soon about what positions are available, so keep an eye on our channels!
