Arian Arjomandi Rad
Having spent two years in ICSM Surgical Society, helping to run numerous events including seminars, conferences and tutorials, I decided to run for the Research representative. Throughout the years the great potential of this position at ICSM Surgical society, has not been made us of for the benefit of our members and the society. As research representative I will act in the best of my abilities to use this potential, which I am sure will greatly benefit both the society, our members and medical students at Imperial interested in research and academia related to Surgery.
I have planned to increase our collaboration with other Surgical Societies both in London and outside London to create joint project opportunities for everyone interested in the field to take part in research projects and audits. I am also planning to bring together the great number of researchers that that we have access to both inside and outside Imperial in seminars and question times regarding future careers in research, how to access clinical research opportunities as a medical student and how to make the most out of it.
In order to organize these joint projects, research opportunities and collaborations I will use the skills which I have gained as committee member of seven other academic societies, covering roles from Secretary to President.
Make sure you vote for me!
