Hi, I am Stacey Wu, first year EIE student and I am running for the events officer of DocSoc. Fascinated by how large and active the society is has made me determined to contribute myself to the one of, if not the only one, most lively societies at imperial.
In the past year, my experience in volunteering at IC Hack has helped me gain more insights in DocSoc, including how the society is run and how the committee is organising megaevents every month. Being an events and sponsorship manager at Imperial Women in Business Society has also equipped myself better with all the necessary skills in organsing and implementing different events.
Here are my main objectives for the upcoming year:
1. Work closely with Academic Events Coordinator, Sponsors' Liaison and Industrial Events Coordinator as well as Social Events Coordinator to ensure every single event ahead of the year is run smoothly
2. Cooperate proactively with the other 2 colleague events officers to have a clear division of labour making sure tasks are equally assigned to each one within the team; since I am EIE and have different schedules from computing students, there can be good coordination among the team in terms of schedules
3. Be a proactive team player, keep the marketing team updated and work under president, VP and treasurer to increase the efficiency
I will keep up my promise and make DocSoc experience the best and most memorable during your time at Imperial!
