Under Pressure

 

Imperial College Union understands that sometimes stress is unavoidable. The Under Pressure campaign aims to give students strategies for coping during periods of heightened stress. Check out our calendar of events from Monday 4 December - Friday 8 December. We have also produced a handy meal planner template, stress busting strategies and revision tips - make sure to download the PDFs on the right!

Come and find us at the JCR between 12:00 - 14:00 throughout the week (except Thursday when we will be at Charing Cross). We have events running every day during the week, so take and break and come and relax with Imperial College Union! 

 

Monday

12:00 - 14:00 Massage Sessions (SAF Foyer) – Under Pressure presents the return of drop-in massages! Be sure to get there early to guarantee getting your free massage!

12:00 - 14:00 Volleyball (Ethos Sports Hall) - Take part in the Be Active drop-in sports sessions!

13:05 - 13:35 Meditation (Christian Traditions) (Chaplaincy Multi-Faith Centre, 10 Prince's Gardens) – Try out ancient Christian meditation traditions which resonant with the contemporary practice of Mindfulness meditation

 

Tuesday

12:00 - 15:30 ICU Games Room (Activity Spaces 1 & 2, Beit Quad) – take some time out of your Tuesday to play some video games, challenge your friends to a board game or demonstrate your ping-pong skills!

12:05 - 12:50 Mindfulness Meditation (Chaplaincy Multi-Faith Centre, 10 Prince's Gardens) – Mindfulness can help you stay calm, focused and better manger the pressures of life. Join the Chaplaincy for their weekly Mindfulness Meditation session

18:45 - 20:30 GoodGym (Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre) - Join the GoodGym group this week, run with the group to a destination where you can volunteer and help the local community all in 90 minutes!

 

Wednesday

11:30 - 14:30 Arts & Crafts Session (H-Bar Rooms, H008A & B, Sherfield) – Spend some time out from your university work and get the creative juices flowing with a drop-in arts & crafts session 

11:00 - 13:00 Walking Group (Ethos Sports Hall) - Take part in the Be Active drop-in sessions!

 

Thursday

11:00 - 16:00 ICU Games Room (Reynolds Bar, Charing Cross) – the ICU Games Room travels to Reynolds Bar, come by and relax with some amusing board games

12:00 - 13:00 Yoga Taster Session (RSM Room 301D & E) – Take a break over lunch and join this free Yoga class aimed at relieving stress

13:00 - 13:50 Meditation (Buddhist Traditions) (Chaplaincy Multi-Faith Centre, 10 Prince's Gardens)  – Try out Buddhist Meditation and learn how to cultivate a state of calmness and happiness in your daily life
