From the 4th - 8th March, it's Greening Imperial Week - a union-led showcase of what Greening Imperial have done so far on campus, as well as raising awareness of small adjustments you can make to your daily routines to help the environment. Led by the Ethics and Environment Officer, alongside Greening Imperial and Ethos Gym, there will be themed days throughout the week, from waste and recycling to fashion – whatever tickles your fancy. Come along to events and check out our stalls. And if you take our quiz, then you are entered into our random prize draw! We'll be tracking which department is getting their facts right each day.
We’ve partnered each themed day with the Sustainable Development Goals. There are 17 global goals developed by the United Nations for humanity to reach by 2030. The overarching goals driving our Greening Imperial Week are climate action and protecting life on land and water. Check out the particular goal each day works towards in the next tabs.
Move More Monday (4th March)
Move More Monday's aim is to encourage you to incorporate more fitness into your lifestyle, which also benefits the environment, for example, walking or cycling into uni instead of taking the bus.
What's on today:

|Charing Cross Walk, run by Active Imperial||Take some time out from your busy day and take a relaxing walk starting from Charing cross. This walk is designed to get you moving in the middle of the day. Walk as fast or as slow as you want, by yourself or as a group!||12:00 - 14:00||tbc|
|"What's your Wattage?", win a fitness tracker in our cycling competion||Want a new fitness tracker? Participate in our Watt bike competition and see if you can cycle faster than anyone else. We’ll also be handing out leaflets on where to purchase cheap bikes, what routes are ideal to cycle on and trying to encourage to cycle and walk more - get fit and help the planet.||12:00 - 14:00||Dalby Court|
Sustainable Development Goals Achieved:
When Greening Imperial week comes to an end, this doesn’t mean your more sustainable lifestyle has to. Keep up the more eco-friendly habits.
