Andy Slaughter

Candidate Manifesto:

Andy Slaughter is a British Labour Party politician and was Member of Parliament for Hammersmith from 2010 until March 2015. He is currently the Labour candidate for Hammersmith at the General Election to be held on Thursday 7 May 2015.

He had previously been MP for Ealing, Acton and Shepherd's Bush from 2005 to 2010 and before that, Leader of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Council. He is currently a Shadow Justice Minister, serving on the Labour Party's frontbench.

Andy says:

Protecting our NHS and saving Charing Cross Hospital is my number one priority at this Election.

Despite the chaos caused by closing the Accident & Emergency at Hammersmith Hospital, David Cameron has joined local Conservatives in calling for Charing Cross to be demolished, leaving no A&E in the Borough.

Labour created the NHS and will always defend it.

We will recruit 20,000 more nurses and 8,000 more GPs and guarantee a GP appointment within 48 hours.

It is important that local residents make sure their voice is heard and I urge you to sign my petition to stop the closure of local A&Es.
