Liberation & Community: Gender Equality Officer

My grandmother was not allowed to buy a car 45 years ago, instead, her husband had to come with her.

We live in modern Europe, yet it was only from 1971 onwards that women were allowed to vote in Switzerland - isn’t that crazy?? We are not talking about wars from 1915, we are talking about events that our parents and definitely our grandparents have been part of.

Luckily, things have changed for the better. Women and girls are now starting to be seen as more equal, however, now is not the time to stop fighting for the better, there is still a long way to go.

I am appealing to those against feminism as it is time to realise that we cannot live off the benefits achieved by our parents and grandparents who went through struggles and fights. I admire those who realise that it is not over yet and who fight for a more equal world where humans are not discriminated against sex, gender and race.

I want to spread awareness for gender equality and make everyone feel included to stand for this.

Yours,
