Hi everyone, my name is Hayley, a second-year Aeronautical Engineer. As an avid participant of student representation within the college, I already have a wealth of experience in organizing events and coordinating people of different backgrounds and occupations in order for the event to run smoothly. Just the past week, I helmed the organisation of the first ever CGCU Town Hall, bringing together people from all 8 Engineering departments, which had a very successful turnout and will definitely be continued years onward. I have also had experience in organising a charity talent show night to support the Arthur Foot Academy in conjunction with the Rotary Club. Currently, I am in the process of coordinating a talk from an Imperial Alumni who is one of the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30.
As the Engineering Faculty Rep/CGCU Education Officer, I have extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the Union, which I'm sure will be helpful in the running of the society. Moreover, I have access to the large network that is the City & Guilds College Association with its members being Imperial alumni all over the world in many industries, which may prove helpful.
I see so much potential for TedX Imperial and by joining the committee I hope to help the society achieve a new height by putting on inspiring and unforgettable Ted Talks.
