Eligibility
The Give It a Go Summer Grants is there to support clubs looking to run events in the summer who require extra funds to cover such things as ground hire, instructor and travel costs or anything that will help boost participation over the summer months.
Grants will be awarded to CSP’s that have completed a full application, explaining in depth the reach of the funding (e.g. 200 students) and the benefits to both the club and students taking part. Particular attention will be given to new and developing clubs as well as those that will engage the most members.
Criteria
- Activities must take place in the UK and be aimed at getting students interested in your Club, Society or Project (CSP).
- Activities will need to take place between June, July or August to be eligible.
- You must complete registration during the event/activity
- You must complete a short report with a debrief of the event (including photos) to identify the impact of the funding. The report must be completed within 2 weeks of the event/activity and sent to the Student Activities Team.
The Activities Team will then use this information for our social media promotion and online news article content.
Application
The funding pot is not unlimited in size, the following amounts are available per month;
June - £200
July - £300
*August - £250
The deadline for each month will be set to the end of the previous month. For example, application for June will need to be submitted by May 31st.
*Please note any funding allocated for the month of August must be spent by the 31st July before the end of the financial year on 01.08.17.
CSP’s can apply via the online form here.
Applications will then be assessed by the Student Activities Team and the Deputy President (Clubs & Societies)
