Imperial College Union is looking for students who are interested in joining the bar staff team at our central South Kensington campus at Beit Bars, and at Reynolds Bar on the College's medical campus in Hammersmith.
Located in the Beit Quadrangle in South Kensington, the Beit Bars consist of Metric (a night club and event space), FiveSixEight (a busy bar/restaurant that shows live sport and has a weekly pub quiz) and The Union Bar (the spiritual home of Imperial College Union). Situated in the Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, Reynolds is loved by the medical students and holds a varied programme of events, live music and themed nights across the terms.
We are currently looking to add staff members to a team of dedicated student staff to work at the bars alongside our team of Bar Managers, Supervisors and Catering Staff. The role consists of a mixture of evening, day and weekend work. Applicants looking exclusively for summer work will not be considered.
Hourly rate starting from £7.50 per hour + holiday pay allowance
The post-holder will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service while working at the Union's bars. They will be a confident, self-motivated, reliable individual with excellent communication skills, who works well in a team or on their own, and will have either experience of working in a busy commercial and customer-focused organisation, or be able to demonstrate relevant experience elsewhere. Please note, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this position. It is a must that succesfull candidates make themselves available to work regular Wednesday and Friday evenings and be available to attend training in the week commencing Monday 25 September 2017.
