An important aspect about Students' Unions is that we are run by elected Student Officers. Elections for different roles occur at different times of the year.

Start of Autumn Term

Places on Union Council, Union Committees, GSA and elections for Year reps.

Mid Spring Term

Elections for the Sabbaticals: President of the Union, four Deputy Presidents of the Union and the Felix Editor

Late Spring Term

RAG Chair, Council Chair, Welfare Campaigns Officer, CAG Chair, Club & Society elections, Faculty Union elections and Departmental elections.

Summer Term

Deputy President (Welfare) By-election

The Deputy President (Welfare) position is now vacant following the resignation of the winning candidate from the spring term Sabbatical Elections. We are accepting new nominations for this position from 1 July.

This is a full-time, paid role within the Union where the elected student takes one year out of their studies to work as a member of the Sabbatical team.

Nominations open on 1 July at 00:00 and close on the 14 July at 23:59.

Voting opens 16 July at 00:01 and closes on the 19 July at 17:00. Results will be announced in the evening of 19 July.
