stoic tv is Imperial’s award-winning student television station. We are at the hub of the College’s student media, and produce a whole range of programming; including student affairs reportage, documentaries, live on-campus broadcasts, comedy, live music coverage and whatever new ideas members bring to the table.
You can watch us in the Junior Common Room on campus, online at stoictv.com, or via podcast. Under new management this year, we’re all about having a laugh whilst doing something many students have never had to opportunity to do before.
If you think you can be the next face of Imperial’s student media (and eventually the BBC….), we’ll give you the chance to produce and present your own or an existing show. The Jeremy Paxman inside you can be unleashed on stoic tv’s weekly news broadcast. Or, you can join our Short Films Group to practise your scriptwriting and acting talents.
Behind the camera, stoic tv has its own studios in Beit, where upon our team of directors, producers, editors and cameramen are able to help you learn and master the skill of your choice. Techies are also welcome to plug, bodge and code away to make our broadcast network bigger and better.
Come have a chat with us at the Freshers’ Fair, we might even let you touch a camera or two.
