Polish
The Polish Society aims to serve as a social hub and meeting forum for Imperial College students and staff of Polish origin or anybody with an interest in Poland. We would like to raise awareness of Poland and Polish issues among a wider audience, both within College itself and outside.
Last year we organised several events including parties with traditional Polish food and drinks, Polish film showings and a trip to a top Polish restaurant with high profile guests along with trips to Polish cultural events. For example, we organised a historical event about the Polish pilots in the RAF during World War Two, which was a huge success. We also had a trip to Brussels for the Poland vs Belgium football match. The plan of activities for this year will probably be very similar.
