Physoc is a society for physicists at Imperial, and aims to hold events and gatherings throughout the year that allows its members to network with members of the department and many external companies and universities.
The society is one of the largest in the country and has over 800 members, including undergraduates and postgraduates. Physoc arranges guest lecturers throughout the year, on current research as well as more light-hearted subjects such as The Physics of Chocolate, so look out for posters around Blackett! In addition, we organise trips to conferences and research centres, as well as BBQs, a Freshers Cocktail Party, the Annual Inter-University Physics Quiz, the Outreach teaching programme and networking events with graduate-seeking companies.
Non-physicists are free to join the society as well. And you get all of this for no membership fee!
