Society Weekend Away '11

Weekend away 28th-30th October 2011

Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. This has almost nothing to do with our Weekend Away, a vastly superior event, which takes place during the last Weekend in October. It’s a prime time to continue the fresher’s week frolics and spend some quality time with the other new music freshers, as well as the rest of the society. On top of that you’ll look cool to your friends at home once all the Facebook photos of you getting down in fancy dress are tagged.

Last year we visited one of England’s most noted centres of cosmopolitan sophistication, Birmingham. The weekend comprises everything you could really want from a musical mini-break – fun and games, fancy dress, and being forcibly removed from a series of less than glamorous nightspots.

This year, we have chosen the sophisticated city of Southampton. Fun and frolicking on the South coast – what better way to spend the Halloween weekend! We will have some rehearsals during the days and lots of food, alcohol (or lemonade if you wish) and hating fun (senior committee members only)! Ikea breafasts are not to be missed.
