Choir singing in the Royal Albert Hall

Royal Albert Hall

ICSM Choir, for the first time ever, are singing in Imperial's Commemoration Day, alongside IC Choir in the Royal Albert Hall, one of the most spectacular concert venues in London.

On Wednesday 21st October 2009, ICSM Choir will join forces with IC Choir to sing at Commemoration day. This is when everyone who finished their degree before the summer graduates. We are singing a Howell's Hymn that we actually performed last November as part of the St. Cecilia music selection, so most people should know it. We will be looking at the music in the first two rehearsals of term alongside our own repertoire for the end of term concert and weekend away. This will obviously be optional, but most of the medical school has the day off so is a great opportunity not to miss!

There are two ceremonies (one at about 11am and another at about 3pm) and it would be great if you could all come along and sing. There will be a final rehearsal in the Royal Albert Hall at 9:30am on the 21st October and the dress code is all black.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to sing in a world-famous venue and every member of the choir who sings gets an invitation to the champagne reception afterwards. I will send out another email with the exact details for the day when I have them.
